CONFERENCE OF THE THREE ASSOCIATIONS
ACIS, ASMCF, ASMI
The Association for the Study of Modern and Contemporary France, the
Association for Contemporary Iberian Studies and the Association for
the Study of Modern Italy are organising a one-day conference. This is
the first such collaborative and comparative venture in the history of
the associations, and members are invited to attend what should prove
to be a memorable day.
'THE MEDITERRANEAN LEFT AND EUROPE'
Venue: Maison Francaise, OXFORD,
Saturday 29 June 2002, 10am-5pm.
Papers will focus on the left parties of the Mediterranean countries
and their relationship to the European Union, taking particular account
of the Mediterranean dimension. Speakers will include David Bell,
Alistair Cole, Paul Furlong, Salvador Giner, Jose Magone and
Daniel-Louis Seiler. A full programme is available from the address

Conference fee is £15 (£7-50 for postgraduates), which includes tea and
coffee. A small number of invitations to lunch may be available on a
