I would tend to agree - in my last school we had a
number of students (about 1 or 2 a year) who would do
both subjects, they had no problem going on to
university, mind you, they tended to study
Business/management courses where the entry
requirements were typically BCC at the most.
I think that there are some places where there is
suspicion/prejudice - often the places where you might
expect it and often for perfectly valid reasons as far
as their courses/aims are concerned. My advice to
students has usually been that it is OK as long as you
are thinking of doing a Business type degree in an
institution not prone to being heavily oversubscribed.
If students want to keep their options open as wide as
possible, they shouldn't do both.
