o.k. folks. since simulations seem to be another area of general interest to
folks on the list, I will definitely compile a bibliography on the topic and
send it to all and sundry. BUT be forwarned, I have found very little thus
far. Thanks to those of you who have already sent me material. If anyone
else has suggestions, perhaps pertaining to teaching *about* disability more
generally, that would be helpful as well.
When I conducted searches using the key words "education and disability" I
found lots of stuff about teaching kids (in particular) with dis/abilities
in the classroom. When I conducted searches however using the key words
"popular education and disability" I came out often with 0-yes that is
correct ZERO results!!! There is one book in the library which I have not
yet been able to locate entitled " Readings for Diversity and Social
Justice; An Anthology on Racism, Sexism, Anti-Semitism, Heterosexism,
Classism and Ableism." I was so amazed that dis/ability was included!Has
anyone seen this book?
given the paucity of material thus far, it may take me a bit to send out the
bibliography. Thanks again, Lilith
