ACCESS ABILITY LOTHIAN ONE DAY CONFERENCE
EXPERIENCING INCLUSIVE EDUCATION:
WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
FRIDAY 3RD MAY 2002, 9.30 - 2pm, THE MARQUEE SUITE, HIBERNIAN STADIUM,
ALBION PLACE, EDINBURGH
Access Ability Lothian are running a one day conference to mark the end of a
two year, Community Funded research project, Experiencing Inclusive
Education: What Does it Mean?
The project has involved researching the experiences of disabled students in
Further Education in the Lothian and Fife areas. The results of the research
will inform future policy on inclusive education.
The conference will begin (after coffee!) at 10 am with a short introduction
from Dr Paul Brown, the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council National
Co-ordinator for Students with Disabilities. There will then be a series of
short talks from the research managers - John Davis, Nick Watson and Ian
Martin - on the findings. Workshops will follow, in which participants are
warmly invited to contribute their opinions.
Lunch will be served at 1pm and we expect to finish at approximately 2pm.
Please contact Rowan at the Access Ability office should you wish to have
more details: Norton Park
