Hello Adrian,
always use EBP where poss - there is a significant number of decent studies
relating to exercise and back pain. Here is one on post surgery - I have
some others at home will try and remember to send them off
Manatee C, Assmunsen K, Lauritsen B, Vinterburg H, Karbo H, Abildstrup S,
Fischer- Neilson K, Krebs R ad Ibsen K (1993): Intensive dynamic back
exercises with or without hyperextension in chronic back pain after surgery
for lumbar disc protrusion. A clinical trial. Spine 18: 560 -- 567.
