I think it does. There is enough research out there to suggest that the way
to improve mental function is to challenge "use" the brain (ie reading,
cross word puzzles, mental gymnastics, etc). Exercise alone provides one
with the euphoria of feeling great, which may translate to a sense of
mental clarity "getting rid of the cob-webs." For me, maintaining a
certain level of fitness, and constantly stimulating "the old noodle" is
the way to go. Only time will tell! Keep up the good work!!
