italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Dear Carla,
in order to get an idea of the reception of Bakhtin in Italy, you might want to have a look at some of the following:
Segre, Cesare, Teatro e romanzo. Due tipi di comunicazione letteraria. Torino, Einaudi, 1984, pp. 61-118 (which contains three of Segre's early, seminal essays on Bakhtin).
Ponzio, Augusto (ed.), Michail Bachtin. Semiotica, Teoria della Letteratura e Marxismo, Bari, Dedalo, 1977 (the first major collection of critical studies on Bakhtin to appear in Italy).
Ponzio, Augusto, Michail Bachtin: alle origini della semantica sovietica, Bari, Dedalo, 1980.
Jacchia, Paolo, Introduzione a Bachtin, Roma / Bari, Laterza, 1992.
Luperini, Romano, L'Allegoria del Moderno. Roma, Editori Riuniti, 1990.
Luperini, Romano, Il Dialogo e il conflitto. Per un’ermeneutica materialistica. Roma / Bari, Laterza, 1999.
A further, good source for Italian perspectives on Bakhtin is the journal Allegoria, which has recently published several interesting articles on Bakhtin's works and ideas.
Best wishes,
