Yes...lead on our site (LGI)

There is an overall NSF committee and an ACS subgroup
chaired by a senior cardiologist. There are leads
within A&E at consultant level as well as an ACS
senior nurse on each site (St James' and LGI)now (4
months) to handle Quality Assrance of MINAP,
education, training
and feedback to staff.

Most of the MINAP data relates to what happens after
thrombolysis...this is therefore in hands of
cardiology. The ACS nurse QAs our aspect of it...with
senior (A&E cons) backup. We also have our own
database which has been running for 3-4 yrs and
complements MINAP
As previously mentioned we had some real issues with
what got classified to be entered as eligible for
assessment on the 75% 30min target (the denominator).
A lot of these issues have been addressed but there is
still a problem with data quality. In our institution
, the ACS nurses feedback to us....I would be VERY
interested to know how this happens elsewhere...it is
an important time issue and if you are thrombolysing
250-280 cases /yr....this can really affect your
performance!!
> 4) Who organises that it is submitted to MINAP??
Managed by cardiology for reasons given above.
Questions :
1) How do people get feedback on inappropr
thrombolysis, inappro non-thombolysis....is it ad
hoc...or do you have specific pathways?
2) What guidelines do people have for robust access to
primary angioplasty ....somebody must be doing
it...apart from 'down the road'!?
Thanks
