I am writing to announce that our a new MSc in Assistive Technology at
Kings College, London now is now accepting applications for both its
full-time and part-time routes.
This course offers students a unique opportunity to study the design and
application of a range of assistive technologies from wheelchairs and
walking aids through to environmental controls and communication aids. The
key characteristics of the course are that it is:
MULTIDISCIPLINARY: Students will be recruited from the disciplines of
engineering, medicine, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and
language therapy, social work and psychology and will be encouraged to
develop an understanding of how each discipline contributes to the delivery
of effective Assistive Technology services.
FLEXIBLE: Both full-time (one year) and part-time (two years) routes of
study are available
USER-FOCUSED: Students will be encouraged to develop and apply assistive
technologies with an understanding of the needs and desires of people with
disabilities
EPSRC FUNDED: During the grant phase of the programme, bursaries of up to
9,000 UK Pounds are available for which students accepted on the course may
apply.
