medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
I think that the spear that's in the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna is
the spear of St. Mauritius, given to an early Ottonian by the king of
Burgundy and part of the German imperial regalia. Just confusingly called
the "Holy Lance."
