Apologies to those who will already have received this.
Routledge is planning to publish a 3-volume International Encyclopedia of
Social Policy. The Chief Editors are myself, Mick Manning, Gillian
Pascall, James Midgely and Huck-ju Kwon. There are also 22 Associate
Editors including Tony Eardley, Neil Gilbert, Stephan Leibfried, Ramesh
Mishra and Bruno Palier.
The intention of the Encyclopedia is to provide an international overview
of social policy at the turn of the millennium. There will be
approximately 1 million words stretching across more than 700 entries.
If you are interested in making a contribution to this project - no matter
how small - then please send me a brief email confirming this at the
address given below.
There are about 300 entries left to be assigned and so a wide range of
interests remain to be covered. Contributors will be paid the equivalent of
£30/$50 (American dollars) per 1000 words and in most cases contributions
will need to be delivered by August 31 2002 - though this can be negotiated.
