LSE Health and Social Care
The European Observatory on Health Care Systems is launching a listserve, a
monthly email news service, designed for policymakers and researchers who
want to keep up to date with new Observatory publications and developments
in the field of evidence-based analysis of health care systems. Health
systems all over Europe are on the move, and if you need to keep up to
speed, this monthly email service will help.
The Observatory produces and maintains HiTs, in-depth health system profiles
of countries in the wider Europe, including Central and Eastern Europe and
the Newly Independent States. It also publishes studies on key issues that
are currently preoccupying decision-makers: current work in process includes
studies on social health insurance; effective purchasing for health gain;
health and accession; and reforms in primary health care. Four new studies
were published by the Open University Press in February 2002: Healthcare in
central Asia; Regulating entrepreneurial behaviour; Funding health care:
Options for Europe; and Hospitals in a changing Europe. For quick reference,
there are also summaries, policy briefs and articles available on our
website.
If you would like to see an example of the listserve, the first issue can be

If you have access to a mailing list, newsletter or listserve then we would
be most grateful if you could consider including the above text or featuring
it, to ensure maximum dissemination. Many thanks!
