Yes in a way very sad to hear about private matters, except the EBEA is a
membership organisation that speaks on behalf of all biz & econ teachers -
even non members. Eg govt consults with them.
I for one am glad to know how things went.
With some 1,500 members paying a sub of circa £40 ie resources in the order
of £40-60,000 a year, I am sure things can turn round.
Except the hours and hours on non paid voluntary work expected of EBEA and
other charity organisations executives does not fit well with the current
work overload of teachers.
And then there are the procedures. I could not make the AGM even though
Warwick is just an hour away. Not if I want to hand back work marked on
Monday.
Oh well.
