I think my original question about lang in the "Guidelines for implementing Dublin Core in XML" was lost.
Let me try again.
GIVEN that there is a particular, sanctioneded vocabulary to described the concept of "language" as defined by DC.
GIVEN that this vocabulary prescribed for the DC language element (i.e. the language of the resource being described by the DC record)
WHY aren't we using the *same* sanctioned vocabulary to describe the concept of "language" when we're talking about the language of a DC element (e.g. the language of a description element)? why aren't we prescribing the *same* vocabulary to talk about languages of individual DC elements AND to describe the resource itself?
The other issues of compatibility between the XML schema and the RDF schema are important, too ... but it's the question above that I was trying to raise.
