Think i want to volunteer on this.

Not clear, what you mean with "THE right schemas" -
Do we have consensus on http://dublincore.org/2001/08/14/dces#
as "THE" right scheme for http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/ ?
[It says for instance http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/ is an eor:schema.
eor:schema has RDF schema as instances. Are those really primarily intended for
reading like a poem or a dissertation?]
In particular for "plain" XML there are quite some choices one
can make with xml-schemes.
Do you question the OAi xml-scheme for elements/1.1/ as correct?

I'm happy to report, that we do not.

[7] seems to assume http://dublincore.org/qdcmes/1.0/ as a superset of
elements/1.1/, dcterms and dcmitype - do you have a suggestion
for a single URI on the dc-web-site for this?
Cheers,
