The University of Leeds
School of Computing and Information Dynamics Group plc
*** Putting the Psychology into Software ***
Job Vacancy: Human Factors Engineer (TCS Associate)
Ref No: 069-203-006-055
Closing date for applications: 15 April 2002
Information Dynamics Group plc in Leeds has a very exciting opportunity for
a graduate to 'fast track' their managerial development by leading a high
profile, strategic project within a forward thinking company to a successful=
conclusion.
The company provides bespoke business-to-business software solutions. A
major new product development will involve the integration of 'human
factors' into a new generation of project management software to enable
efficient virtual team working both within and across organisations. This
is a real leading edge project with real challenges - and hopefully a lot of
fun! - attached to it.
Applicants should have a degree in Computing or Psychology or related degree=
(minimum 2:1). Experience in a business-to-business role involving project
management, but not necessarily within an IT company is highly desirable.
Skills required include business, communication, leadership and team
working. Most importantly, they will be accustomed to taking on complex
projects on their own, coming to clear conclusions and delivering solutions
in a very structured way.
To help them achieve their goal Information Dynamics Group plc has developed=
a Teaching Company Scheme (TCS) Programme with the University of Leeds. The=
TCS Associate will be based at the company but employed and supported by the=
University with the post available immediately for a fixed period of two
years. However, for the right candidate, the company would like to see
career progression with them at the end of this period. There is also an
expectation that the Associate will write up the research for an MPhil
degree from the School of Computing.
Salary: =A3 competitive plus performance related supplement.
