Phil - do they not have one of these in Edinburgh
attached to the Royal Ed?....I would phone up one of
the Consultoids there.
I also think (think mind) there's one at Manchester
attached to hope - so maybe Pete Driscoll and co.
could help?
Regards,
Iain
I think a firm set of guidlines signed off by yourself
and the SAS would divert the ambulance cases, the
street cases and taxi dropped off OD's could be headed
off into an attached "unit ambulance" or similar t.fer
unit. (does not neccesarily have to be a standard SAS
job either ( and could even be staffed by your
exisiting staff at the unit - employ some decent
para's - triage is , after all, what they do. Good
nurses are invaluable but the old "portfolio" career
certainly seems to be more to the forefront these
days, perhaps it's in clever and multitasking staff
that the answer lies?)
