The School is designed for 30 university teachers from Central Asia who have
some experience in teaching Gender Studies or have an
interest in making the first steps in this direction. The two-week program
of the School will focus on the topics of sociology of
gender, gender inequality in human development, and theory and practice of
gender in the Central Asian countries. The courses will
be taught by leading academics from the NIS and the USA. Participants are
expected to be ready to teach new courses, elaborated
during the School, in academic year 2002-2003.
