The University invites applications for a Lectureship in Sociology as
part of the continued upward trajectory of the Department as a leading
centre of the discipline (2001 RAE grade: 5). The successful applicant
will be expected to assume a key role in the teaching and research
profile of the department, and should have an established record in
research and publications.
We are seeking someone with a specialism in quantitative research
methodology, who will help ensure that the Department meets ongoing
ESRC research training criteria, and who will work with other
colleagues on funded research proposals and projects. As well as this
methodological focus, you will have expertise in one of the
Department's principal substantive areas, which currently include
ethnicity and citizenship, work, gender, and social
inequality/exclusion.
Salary range £20,470-£32,537 per annum.
