Announcing the second in the Topics of the Month series within
the Virtual Learning Space (VLS) http://itlearningspace-scot.ac.uk.
The 'Copyright in the Online Environment' topic is open for
discussion now. A series of synchronous and asynchronous discussions
will be run as part of this topic.
Proceedings commence on the 28 February with Alma Hales and
Bernadette Attwell of the Open University hosting a chat session between
12.30 and 1.30 pm (GMT) in the Schoolhill room within the VLS café.
Claire Milne of Thorntons WS will then host a further chat session on
the 13 March between 12.00 and 1.00 pm (GMT), also in Schoolhill. We
advise participants to enter the chat room 15-20 minutes earlier than
the chat start time, to ensure their computers are correctly configured
to be able to load our chat software.
As an introduction to this topic, VLS members may like to look
at the existing discussion within the 'Copyright in the Online
Environment' discussion room. The documents section of the room will
also be added to in due course. The membership is growing and we look
forward to an interesting debate throughout the next few weeks.
* Alma Hales is the Rights Manager with the Open University,
* Bernadette Attwell is the Deputy Rights Manager with the Open
University,
* Claire Milne is an Associate within the Business Law
Department of Thorntons WS.
