Dear Paul,
Sorry, but we're not entirely convinced of the need for an HBSMR application for global editing of terms. Will terms change so significantly in the future that such wholesale re-assignment of terms will be needed ? We think that one could just go into the Access database and do big edits there rather than go through HBSMR. And we won't always have our data stored on Access:- we could move to Oracle and have an Access shell with which to use HBSMR. I would be a bit leary of global edits from HBSMR, especially where our terms may be linked to or in user-defined fields, or cover a more varied range of things than in the Standards.
Cheers,
Neil

Thanks Neil but that wasn't what I wanted a reaction on - it was really
about whether we can develop an application to help SMRs implement the
standards,
Paul
