Hi everyone,
Although as Glenn recognises, the site omitted to take into account gender
and disability, nonetheless, I thought it was a very powerful message and
thanks for putting it on the list Glenn. For us all to access this, or any
other egroup discussion list, we all need to have access to some kind of
expensive computer equipment. We all need access to electricity. We all need
to have a level of skill to operate the system and we all need a level of
skill and education to be able to read, understand and participate in what is
being debated and some people need specialised expensive equipment to access
the internet full stop. As a consequence of all this, where therefore, is
the representation from disabled people who do not have access to such
privileged forums, because they do not have access to the equipment necessary
to participate? Just a thought.
