Information about revised DCMI Registry WG web page
http://dublincore.org/groups/registry
Since DC2001 in Tokyo the chairs of the WG have been working on
incorporating the feedback we received into our plans.
Firstly a new WG charter was requested by the DCMI executive,
in order to reflect progress on the prototypes, and to take on board the
effect of a separate 'vocabulary management system' to be developed to
meet the requirements of the Usage Board.
The Registry WG web page has now been updated to incorporate
- a proposed new charter (at http://dublincore.org/groups/registry). This
charter is being reviewed by the DCMI Advisory Board, has the WG any
comments which might usefully be forwarded to the Advisory Board??
- pointer to a new document in draft 'DCMI Roadmap for Development of
Vocabulary Management and Registry Systems'
- pointers to the prototypes, note that we now have 3 prototypes
plus the operational registry 'under construcrion' available.
Harry will be sending a mail to review progress...
We see our next priorities as finalising the functional requirements
for phase 1 of the registry, and liaising with the Usage Board to ensure
we have a definitive expression of the DCMI vocabulary using RDF schemas
in place for the registry to index.
Any comments gratefully received.
Rachel and Harry
