I do not want to repeat myself or restart a discussion on this, far from it.
Just a caveat: read the CT head rules article critically. If you can, get the
opinion of an expert in evidence based medicine, before you decide to base your
practice on that study alone.
For what it is worth knowing, I presently scan more patients than those recommended
by the CT head rule, and I will only raise my threshold when a more convincing
study will be published.

The Canadian CT head rules represent probably the best evidence at the
moment. The reference is Lancet 2001; 357: 1391-96. Hope this helps.
