Dear All,
I was talking last night to a friend who being unable to find his
relatives in Buckley North Wales on Census Day 1901 (he is using
microfiche).
He wondered if Easter Day fell the day after the census, something I
found hard to believe.
However, he appears to be correct the census was held on the 31st
March and Easter fell on the following day 1st April (assuming my web
source is correct). It might be therefore that my friends ancestors
were away on holiday on Census Day.
Has anyone else experienced similar problems in finding their
ancestors or is it too early to tell given the problems with the PRO
web site?
It is a problem worth being aware of.
