Subject: CAAUK Belfast 2002
Hello,
Apologies for cross postings...
This email is to inform members of the list about the forthcoming
meeting of the UK chapter of the Computer Applications and Quantitative
Methods in Archaeology group. The meeting will be held on Saturday 20th
and Sunday 21st April 2002 at Queen's University in Belfast.
We wish to encourage attendance by research students, archaeologists in
units, agencies and planning authorities, and those who have not
previously participated in CAA conferences. We welcome contributions
from the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and elsewhere.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is Friday 1st March. There are
three alternative modes of presentation. These are: (i) an oral paper
(20 minutes); (ii) a poster paper and (iii) a short oral presentation
(c. 5 minutes) for postgraduate students and others who are at the early
stages of their research and are seeking suggestions or advice.
The CAAUK website has a link to the meeting website on which there is a
registration form and further details: http://www.caauk.org
Flights to Belfast can be very cheap and we hope that some of you will
take this opportunity to visit Northern Ireland.
