We need to notice that the question is about "disability" and the social
model. The writer is not asking about impairments. If we are to engage in
that thought pattern, one would need to ask why would I have to take the
pill? Since in the social model terminology disability refers to
environmental barrier. Should the question not be "if there was a magic
wand to make poverty, inequity, architectural barriers, etc., disappear
would you use it? But what would such a society be like? How would be
people in position of power survive?
