I've been receiving mails off this list for some time now, and I thought I'd
write and introduce myself. I'm a Community Affairs Researcher for BBC North
(this covers news output in Yorkshire, Humberside and north Lincolnshire, -
UK!) My role is to improve the diversity of local news coverage. I'm keen to
hear from anyone who has stories in this area, which might be suitable for
local news (I do also have counterparts in other regions of the UK). I would
also be interested in any feedback about the portrayal of disability in
local news.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Kirsten Coope
