A 10th draft(!) of the Guidelines for implementing Dublin Core in XML
document is now available at
http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/metadata/dcmi/dc-xml-guidelines/
Comments are much appreciated. I hope this document can now be considered
for some kind of formal status within DCMI.
This draft fixes a couple of typos (in the examples) and adds a final
section 8, which links to some XML schemas that support the examples shown
in the document. The XML schemas are intentionally kept separate from the
guidelines :-)
The XML schemas are available at
http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/metadata/dcmi/dcxml/examples.html
I hope we've included enough explanation about the schemas, but almost
inevitably things get a little complicated.
There are 5 'base schemas', 4 of which can be imported into
application-specific XML schemas. We hope that these 5 schemas can be
hosted somewhere on the DCMI Web site - assuming that we can reach
agreement about their contents!
