Central London
The Technology Colleges Trust spearheads the Government's Specialist Schools
initiative, which aims to approve a minimum of 2,000 specialist schools by
2006. The Trust also coordinates a rapidly growing network of over 1,800
affiliated schools, providing a wide range of services and benefits to the
membership.
The Trust has doubled in size over the past 12 months and now employs more
than 70 professional and administrative staff and in excess of 100 external
consultants.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced IT Manager to deliver a
comprehensive range of IT services to the Trust, with the support of three
professional members of staff. Applicants should hold a degree in computer
science or equivalent. Other relevant qualifications would be an advantage.
The Trust operates from a central office with several satellite offices and
a number of field based staff. The Trust uses a Windows NT network with
broadband access and is planning to change to Windows 2000 shortly.
Experience of Oracle databases and advanced websites is essential. Reporting
to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services, this post offers an
excellent opportunity to develop an effective IT function and make a
significant contribution to the achievement of the Trust's corporate
objectives.
