May I recommend the following resource if you are a dreamweaver
user. It is a simple to follow tutorial on how to modify Dreamweaver to
produce valid xhtml markup.
My team have been using modified versions for 6 months now and
happily producing mostly valid xhtml pages.

We still use tables for positioning because of the Netscape 4.7
problems. I don't think it will be long before we decide to leave that
dinosaur behind though (I can see the emails coming in already!!!).
One last recommendation for a brilliant introduction and guide to
changing over to xhtml:

Don't leave home without it!
Cheers.
