I am here, there and DP (AND RAE). It is worrying exactly because as you say it
concentrates the information, it makes it easier to do the linkages etc. On the
other hand academic - if bothered - are more likely to put even more information
up on the www. Just as well (what a thing to say) the RAE conincided with
the 9/11 events and all of a sudden everyone was a bit more aware of what was
written and what would be acceptable to publish and so on.
What I find puzzling is that we still won't have one site to collate all the
info. from all the RAEs (damn thing has been going on since 1984). Some pages at
niss, some at RAE and now at Hero. Oh well, I will problably one day publish the
2001 RAE on SOMiS to add to the 92 and 96 RAEs I got there.
Maybe one day we'll have an "RAE day" so we can all think of the hours lost on it
and the quality work that was never because of it.
