PROFESSOR OF TRANSPORT OPERATIONS

The Transport Operstions Research Group (TORG) at Newcastle will soon
be celebrating 30 years of successful research in Transport
Operations. Following a major University restructuring, we are now
looking to make an appointment who will lead us to new levels of
success. The successful candidate will be expected to assume the
Directorship of TORG.
You will have an excellent research track record. The theme of your
research could be allied to one of our existing strengths which
include transport telematics, public transport management and
operations, or travel behaviour. However, we are also looking for new
areas of transport research to develop. You will need a clear vision,
as well as the drive and enthusiasm to ensure the pre-eminence of
transport research at Newcastle.
Salary will be at an appropriate point in the Professorial salary
scale.
