PhD Bursaries in Housing and Regeneration
The Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research
(CRESR) and the School of Environment and Development
(SED) undertake high quality policy and academic research
in the broad areas of housing policy and regeneration.
Together they are offering Ph D bursaries from September
2002 in the following areas:
l transport and Social Exclusion in collaboration with the
l South Yorkshire Objective1 Programme Executive
l housing investment and low demand in collaboration with the
l Housing Corporation
l Housing Law
l ethnic segregation and social mix in 'failing' housing markets
l defining Local Crime prevention strategies
Bursaries will be paid at £8,300 pa and £9,300 pa for projects
with external collaborators. Bursaries will be paid for three years
subject to satisfactory progress.
