Bus tour Zoetermeer
This tour gives an impression of Zoetermeer’s development from village to
city with stops at some recent large projects, such as
"Oosterheem" the new development area of ± 8,000 housing units, the
development of Centrum-West as an expansion of the
present city centre and Zoetermeer’s leisure development.
A cultural stroll/walk through the old village
In a period of 40 years Zoetermeer has grown immensely. Besides the new
town, the old village is still visible and still forms an
unique part of the city due to its layout.
In and around the streets a large part of the original development of the
village Zoetermeer can still be found and much can be said
about the existence and development of the city. During this walk guides
will be at your disposal to further inform you on the history
and present of Zoetermeer.
Zoetermeer and its businesses
Zoetermeer serves as an important economic tool for the south-western part
of The Netherlands. In the past 30 years the
employment rate of Zoetermeer increased to more than 40,000 jobs. In the
next 25 years another 25,000 jobs will need to be
added. During this visit you will be able to take a peak behind the scenes
of some of Zoetermeer’s leading companies.
The visit will finish with a farewell drink at the Golden Tulip Hotel in
Zoetermeer.
