Research Fellow: A Whole-Life Costing Approach to Sewerage
Applications are invited for an EPSRC funded research post in the Centre for
Water Systems (www.ex.ac.uk/cws), available from February 2003. The
objective of the project is to develop an approach to minimise the whole life
costs of sewerage systems based on constrained service delivery targets and to
enable maximum benefit to be derived for a given investment within a known
system. You will be a graduate, ideally with a PhD in an engineering or related
field, with knowledge and experience relevant to the development and
implementation of urban drainage/sewerage models and software, computational
hydraulics and numerical methods. Your research expertise should be related or
complementary to the Centre's current research. However, good applicants in
other areas of water quantity/quality modelling, optimisation, water-industry
problems and pipe network management will be considered.
This fixed term post is available for 30 months with salary in the range of
18,265 -26,270 UK Pounds per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
