CSIRO Urban Water is a dedicated team within Manufacturing & Infrastructure
Technology whose goal is the development of innovative and sustainable urban
wastewater and stormwater systems.
We are looking to recruit a self-motivated and energetic water systems
designer to join our Urban Water team. You will have recognised
professional engineering qualifications at either graduate or postgraduate
level with at least 5 years practical experience in the fields of water
supply, wastewater and stormwater engineering. You will also have practical
experience and knowledge of the national and local codes of practice on the
planning, design and construction of water supply, sewerage and drainage
works.
An important part of the role will be the ability to undertake analysis of
innovative integrated urban water systems for both new and existing
developments from conceptualisation and design through to costing.
You will have demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills
and excellent team and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated skills in
financial analysis and water systems design essential.
Qualifications or demonstrated skills in resource economics would be highly
regarded.
Tenure: 2 years with the possibility of extension.
