Dear listmembers,
Well being aware that many of you are not directly involved with
groundwater
issues, I am still happy to pass on the following annoucement of an
EU-funded
network on groundwater-related issues to you. Even when working in the
field
of urban drainage, we might have to be aware of issues of neighbouring
topics.
Best regards from the Elbe river

EU project IMAGE-TRAIN (Innovative Management of Groundwater Resources
in Europe - Training and RTD Co-ordination Project)
here: Young Scientist's Platform
Dear Sir or Madam,
Subject: Young Scientists´ Platform (Groundwater)
within the framework of the EU project IMAGE-TRAIN (Innovative
Management
of Groundwater Resources in Europe - Training and RTD Co-ordination
Project) currently a platform especially for young scientists working on
innovative water management and remediation techniques is organised.
The main objective of this venture is to create a platform which allows
Ph.D. students and other young scientists to present their research work
and to get readily into contact with others who have similar interests
or
work in related fields. Furthermore a discussion forum will be
integrated
for the direct exchange of information and experiences between young
researchers. We hope that a broad spectrum of Ph. D. students will use
the
opportunity to present themselves and their project on that platform so
that together an interesting and useful instrument for knowledge
transfer
can be initiated.
Therefore all Ph.D. students and young scientists who want to be
represented on that platform are requested to fill in the attached
registration form and send it to Dipl.-Geol. Gabi Gregolec
([log in to unmask]) by e-mail .
Please forward this information to your Ph.D. students, colleagues or
other persons who are working in the area of groundwater and who might
be interested.
Further information can be found on the web-site of IMAGE TRAIN
http://www.image-train.net/, where the platform will be placed, too.
If there are any problems or questions please do not hesitate to contact
us.
We are looking forward to hear from you soon and thank you very much for
your help in advance.
Kind regards,
Gabi Gregolec

IMAGE-TRAIN is an Accompanying Measure funded by the Fifth Framework
Programme (FP5) on research, technological development and
demonstration.
It establishes topic links between thematically related research
projects
and organises Advanced Study Courses.
