The Department of Civil Engineering at Monash University invites
applications for a number continuing positions in Water Engineering at
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer level. The Department enjoys a strong reputation
in research and technology transfer in its four specialist groups:
Structural, Geomechanics, Water & Environmental, and Transport Engineering
as well as in Engineering Education.

The successful candidate will join an internationally recognised,
innovative and productive group. The Water Engineering group has active
research programs in hydrology and hydraulics. The group seeks to maintain
and further develop its current international reputation in these areas.
We seek a highly motivated candidate with a strong research background in
one or more of the above-mentioned areas.

Candidates must hold a postgraduate qualification in civil engineering or
related fields. The candidates should demonstrate a strong research record
through an excellent publication record, success in attracting competitive
grants, strong industry links, and experience in successful
supervision of post-graduate students, as well as a commitment to
excellence in undergraduate and post-graduate teaching.

Appointment will be made at a level appropriate to the successful
applicant's qualifications, experience and in accordance with
classification standards for each level.

The benefits:
Lecturer Level B                AUD$52,881-$62,797
Senior Lecturer Level C         AUD$64,779-$74,695
Plus generous superannuation contributions.
Travel and removal allowance may be available.
