Dear All,
A few points which everyone on GridPP should know:
1. The abstract template which should be used is the one at the TOP of the
page
http://www.research-councils.ac.uk/escience/documents/GuidelinesforSubmissionofAbstracts.shtml
"Contributions should be prepared using the template provided."
--------
NOT the one which asks the (difficult) question "how does this advance the
state of the art?" at the BOTTOM of the same page.
"The template should be used and is available in Word2000, and RTF."
2. The abstracts will be part of the conference proceedings, which can
contain useful information in the required two page (two column) format,
and are an OPPORTUNITY for those working on specific aspects to get their
work recognised more generally in the UK.
3. INFORMALLY - contributions will continue to be received into next week
(and possibly throughout July, prior to sending to printers), but
tomorrow's deadline of 12th July will be used to establish the
format/speakers at the parallel sessions.
4. Steve and I have booked accommodation at the Grosvenor House Hotel
via the web site (the cheapest hotel on the web site list). Early booking
advised...
5. GridPP will pay for all attendees at the meeting.
Cheers, Tony

Tony, good morning.
The template without the 'How does the work advance the state of the art" is
the correct one to use.
Regards,
Carol
