Andrew,
The imperial green ball is currently red but the CE is in working order,
so I suspect Gav`s tricky script is flakey.
A comment about the format:-
In the current format, information about versions could replace the
"x"`s and also the presence of an SE should be indicated. However, I
think the correct source if site information, and the only one an RB
cares about, is the site GIIS. So perhaps we could display a page with a
live summary of ldap info from each site, e.g. Running Jobs, freeCPUS,
accepted VO`s. This would then serve as honest propaganda aswell as a
useful diagnostic tool.
Phil went some way to providing this, as an essential diagnostic to
prevent "sticky" ldap servers hanging the RB
(http://gm04.hep.ph.ic.ac.uk:1080/~dguser/diagnostics.html). Extending
this to a little ldap mining, and creating a web page at RAL shouldn`t
be much work.
If our Leaders think this would be useful, and the requirements are
limited(you can spend a lifetime polishing this kind of thing) then
perhaps we could persuade Phil to do this, unless this fits someone
elses plans.
Cheers,
Rod.
