Dear All,
At the opening of the National e-Science Centre in Edinburgh on
25th April 2002 GridPP will present various posters and give three live
demonstrations:
"Exploiting the Grid to Simulate and Design the LHCb Experiment",
"Building the Grid for BaBar" and "Dynamic Grid Optimisation".
The source powerpoint files for the posters can be found at
http://www.gridpp.ac.uk/demos
with the theme
"From Web to Grid... building the next IT revolution"
There is still some work to do to finalise demos for the day, but
this is a chance to see what is being planned, in terms of posters at
least.
The group working on this is:

Marc Kelly <[log in to unmask]>,
Roger Barlow <[log in to unmask]>,
Steve Lloyd <[log in to unmask]>,
William Bell <[log in to unmask]>
+ input from many others.
These handouts should be seen as a resource and basis for
creating other handouts/posters for middleware packages and other
experiments to describe their Grid activities at future events.
We want grid developments for particle physics to be presented to best
effect to external bodies, VIPs, the press etc. in the UK - this is one
way of doing this.
Cheers, Tony
