There is now an EDG-style Virtual Organisation (authorisation) server
running on the same machine as the GridPP website.
This publishes lists of certificate DN's from which local grid-mapfile's
can be constructed to allow access to each site. The format used is
compatible with the EDG mkgridmap tool, and so sites can pull lists of
authorised users from the LHC/EDG-WP8 VO's at NIKHEF and from the GridPP VO.
The intention of this ISN'T to duplicate the VO's at NIKHEF, but instead
to provide access to GridPP resources to people who can't join the
LHC/EDG-WP8 VO's. (It may also be useful for sites that want to give
access to GridPP members but aren't ready to join the full EDG Testbed
etc.)
http://www.gridpp.ac.uk/vo/ has instructions on using the EDG tools to
configure a local site to use the GridPP VO.
(The server also has a VO for BaBar people, and it will be
straightforward to add and manage more groups since the VO just uses
the web server admin groups, which can be edited through the website.)
Cheers,
Andrew
