NLN ILT subject mentors
The NLN Materials Development & Implementation Team (NLN-MDIT) at Becta has
been commissioned by the LSC to recruit up to 30 FTE national subject
mentors to raise awareness of, and promote good practice in the appropriate
use of, the NLN material and other subject-specific learning resources to
college practitioners. Some have already been appointed following our first
advert but we still need ILT subject mentors in the following subjects and
regions: Key Skills and Basic Education - SE, NE, NW, Yorks & Humber, East
Midlands, West Midlands Land based subjects - NE, NW, Yorks & Humber, W or E
Midlands Science (including mathematics) - South or North Business Studies -
Midlands and the North Health Care - Midlands and the South GAD - All
regions of England Service Industries (eg Hair & Beauty, Hospitality &
Catering) - Midlands, NW or SE

The ILT subject mentors will be required to work regionally from college for
0.5 of their time for which their college will be reimbursed at a fixed rate
by the LSC.
Start date: As soon as possible         End date: July 2004
Support, co-ordination and monitoring will be provided by a central
co-ordinator based within the NLN-MDIT at Becta. For further information and
