Dear Arjan,
AG> The "Polycarpa morph brown" figured on the
AG> introduction page has one buccal and two atrial
AG> siphons. Is this "abnormality" a rare observation for
AG> solitary ascidians?
I have a specimen of Ascidia callosa with one branchial and
two well developed atrial siphons. Also, a deep water genus
Dimeatus (two species) has one branchial and two atrial
orifices.
