Bread and butter puddingNice one Lynn
The opening reminded me of a poem
I once wrote about Bread
published in the Morpo Review
http://morpo.com/v5i2/bread.htm
Whilst I thought
the opening phrase
"In my day"
was a bit of a cliche
I can't really see a good way of improving it.
all the best

Thanks for the workshop.

Making Do
In my day "We made do"
stale became fresh
bread and butter pudding
pulled us through
All you need is:
Bread
Butter
Raisins
Eggs
Sugar
Milk
When you say bread
do you mean any bread?
or do you mean
brown, white, naan
pitta, soda or
baguette
Butter?
salted, un-salted
is there such a thing as an organic cow?
I once saw a four leaf clover
Raisins?
That should be easy
a partially dried grape
not too wet
not too dry
gold or black
never silver
Eggs?
free range
brown, white
small, medium
or large
Sugar?
White, brown
Cubed or granuled
Milk?
cow, goat, sheep
dried, semi, whole
soya
I told you to "make do"
Mother I can't "make do"
choice doesn't allow me to
