Dear Gerald,
My comments were aimed at the people who don't use search engines
because they don't know how to use them or can't be bothered. You'd be
surprised at the high degree of ignorance amongst computer users. I know
someone who isn't stupid but has been using his computer for over 5 years
without coming to grips with the basic technique of cut & paste.
I used to pay local rate calls by the minute every time I surfed,- I
still thought taking a few minutes to use google or dogpile was worth it on
cheap rate.
Now I pay £12.99 per month for unlimited access, which isn't much more than
I was paying just to log on once/twice a day to download my bulging mailbox,
particularly when people sent big graphics or sound files.
By the way, you can use a search engine while you're downloading
emails......
Kind regards,
grasshopper
