Hi again James,
I like this - nice simple observation, but something more as well.
I have two bird pieces that still need to be written (but probably won't) -
stopped at traffic lights, a mudlark attacks its reflection in the rear
windscreen of the car in front, then follows as car moves slowly to next
lights - still on the attack - marvellous, I thought.
Also yesterday - not one, but 2 hawks hovering over some clear ground - very
unusual. Along comes a crow, seeming intent on upsetting them, in turn to be
chased and harrassed by one of the hawks, while the other stays serene.
Feels profound, though I don't know what to make of it. That's what I feel
about this little piece.
Liked it lots.
Cheers,
Frank
