Potion an option? Nay.
Day on dreary day may drag like weary drays
become year, years.
Yards of them.
Grey as any rhino I know.
Grim and glum. Gloomy looming. Brooding
Hear them? Bear them?
Beer then, brimming, rime-rimmed, froth-bearded,
amber-bodied, umber-beaded, slumber-breeding,
yeasty-breathed, bread’s brother.
Both bred from seeds of wheat.
Or wine, new wine, grape-raped,
crushed, mushed to a must,
squelched, squeezed, casked and racked, left to gather dust,
now winking in clinking lustrous glasses,
Old wine, full-bodied, bull-bloodied,
tastes of the south ooze, sooth the mouth,
Or feast, eat meat, treat the self,
feed the fasted, feed Faust, take tea,
wheaten cakes eaten or toasted oats tasted,
chocolate-coated roasted nuts,
eat dates till sated, tasty, salty, malty,
fluffy puffed pastry, sugar-dusted, almond-crusted,
richly-nutted, stuffed with seams of cream,
dainty fairy cakes, minty, crispy, fine fare for feasting
ah, not fair, get fat.
Or write, put the world to right with words,
wild whirling words, waltzing matilda words, weird words.
wonderful words, whirligig, merrydown, thistledown,
dazzling delight of torrential wordery, wizardry, don't tolerate misery.
Make verbs reverberate, articles articulate, nouns announce,
modifiers moderate, mutilate, let ings sing.
Put poems, post them, print them. Poems empower.
Endow with dreams.
Single? Mingle.
