Hi Sally, grassy,
yes I think that's a good point SallyEE... A couple of years back I did a
check on my poems over the previous year and found I was writing about two
thirds including the third person and "I", a few in the second person (maybe
a couple), and the rest almost exclusively in the 3rd person. It might have
been an exceptional year but I sense I've moved away from using the "I
voice" - though I still write what I know and feel! Is it cowardice? Or
style?
And it's only in the last cuple of months where I feel I'm in my poems -
playing a star role - again.
